" Who are you?", "In what world do you want to live in?" and "How can you contribute to make this happen?" are the first 3 questions they asked me when I started my study at Knowmads International Business school. After a beautiful career as a musician, these questions brought me back to what is really important to me and what my personal drive is behind the things that I do.

Before telling what I do, I would like to share that I'm very passionate about working with people, I love to travel, making music, and I am always searching for ways to contribute to the wellbeing of others.

I am a musician , I play (Upright) Bass with Room Eleven, Renske Taminiau, Bram van der Vlugt & Co, Miss Molly and Me, Lilian Hak.

And I'm a workshop leader; training teachers, volunteers, social workers, psychologists and musicians who work or want to work with children that flet from countries in war or live in challenged circumstances.

I work with Music, Dance, Graphic Art, Community Music, Non Violent Communication, Rock & Water, Improvisation Theatre, Learning Psychology, Garbage Instruments and Art of Hosting.

In 2016 I started my foundation Sounds of Change

“Music can change the world, because it can change people”

It is my goal to introduce new forms of leadership, creativity and compassionate communication in school systems and societies. Especially for children that come from or live in conflict area′s, these life skills will help them to be able to work in teams, connect empathically, to trust, express themselves authentically and to see possibilities for a future.

I train and support teachers, aid workers and volunteers to use music, theatre and dance in their work with children. This way I believe in a powerful and sustainable growth of these life skills.

In the past months I facilitated these workshops in Lebanon, India, Jordan and Ukraine.

In 2015/2016 I was with Musicians without Borders in Rwanda, Tanzania and Palestine
